Ca Momplin is located in Piemonte, Italy at the heart of the Roero and Langa wine districts. It is here, in Roero and Langa, that some of the best known Italian wines come from: Barolo, Barbaresco, Roero Arneis. Roero and Langa is also well known for its gourmet cuisine, possibly the best cuisine Italy has to offer: a very good reason to visit, according to most of our guests.

Our Vacation Homes, are artfully decorated, some with antique furnishings. Most apartments are located on hilltops, from where one enjoys a breathtaking view of the Western Alps and of their highest peak, the MonViso. All apartments are surrounded by rows upon rows of Nebbiolo, Barbera and Arneis grapevines.

In Roero and Langa, beside eating and drinking, we trek where white truffles are found, bike up and down hilly Langa and Roero, horseback with Claudia or go truffle and mushroom hunting with Franco, visit the former capital of Italy, Turin, host of the 2006 Winter Olympics, or Asti, a Roman town home to the first ever run "Palio" of Italy, or Alba, the 100 towers one, which, beside being the world capital of the white truffle, hosts the only "Palio" run by donkeys instead of horses, in all of Italy.

Ca' Momplin liegt auf den Huegeln oberhalb von Canale d'Alba, dem Herzen des Roero, nicht weit von der beruehmten Langa entfernt. Beide Weinbaugebiete sind dank ihrer kostbaren Weine (Barolo, Barbaresco und Arneis) weltbekannt, aber auch der weisse Alba-Trueffel und unsere hervorragende Kueche – wohl die Beste Italiens – tragen zum wohl verdienten Ruhm bei. Ca' Momplin bietet eine Auswahl an exklusiven Ferienhaeusern – wohnungen im Roero und in der Langa an: die meisten befinden sich auf sonnigen Huegelgipfeln mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf die Westalpenkette mit seinem Monviso und sind von Weinbergen umrahmt, in denen unsere ortstypischen Rebsorten Nebiolo, Barbera und Arneis reifen.

Roero und Langa bieten neben gutem Essen & Trinken eine Vielzahl an Freizeitmoeglichkeiten: lange Spaziergaenge durch unberuehrte Waldgebiete (wo die besten weissen Alba-Trueffel gefunden werden) und Weinberge oder aber per Fahrrad geht's bergauf-bergab auf verkehrsarmen panoramischen Nebenstrassen. Claudia nimmt Sie gerne zum Ausreiten durch Wald & Wiese mit, waehrend Franco Sie lieber in die Pilze fuehrt. Turin, die erste Hauptstadt Italiens und dank der Winterolympiade 2006 auf Hochglanz poliert, ist einen Tagesausflug wert; Asti bezaubert mit seinem mittelalterlichen ‚centro, wo jedes Jahr der aelteste Palio (Pferderennen ohne Sattel) zelebriert wird und Alba, die Stadt der 100 Tuerme, offeriert das ironische Gegenstueck, das Eselrennen, zum Beginn der Trueffelmesse Anfang Oktober.
