Kim (Left) and Jenny (Right) are world travellers. From birth to adulthood, Kim and Jenny lived a happy life down under. But then Kim got older and was granted his retirement (he got it when he was still pretty young, mind you). This si when he and Jenny grew tired of living on the Australian beaches and decided to see the world: Italy, England, Thailand, China, USA, Canada, you name it, they went there. Claudia and I met them a few years ago when, sometime between China and Canada, in search for a place to stay in Piemonte, they enquired about Ca' Momplin. Since then, they come visit about twice a year, or more often, and we share our latest on cooking (Kim's the best BBQ cook I ever met).

Tommy (Left) and Gitte (not shown) came in second on Ca' Momplin first, world renowned, photo contest. Claudia and I met them in Deidesheim, the first time that we participated in that town Xmas Market. Tommy and Gitte were running a business designing websites and they offered us their services. As it happened we did not need their services: but they ended up opening "La Perla del Gusto" and buying Roero' product from Claudia. You guess who the better salesman is. They are also taking good care of Junior (Right in the picture on the left side) when we return to Germany for the Xmas Markets. They could also take care of Teresa, but Tommy's allergic to cats. On top of that Tommy and Gitte are NON DRINKER (Yes, they still exists and they visit Roero), so we may have to settle on something different than a Grappa Riserva from Cascina Roera!!!

Herman (Left) and Irene (Right) found Ca' Momplin while searching for a place to stay in Piemonte. They arrived on a sunny and warm day on their "Barchetta" , roof open, scarf floating around, sun screens on, like movie stars on holiday!! We hit it right then and there. Since that time we have met, and have partied, in Deidesheim and in Ca' Momplin; shamelessly danced and drunk our evenings off, charmed by the romantic voice of an Italian singer living somewhere in Germany. They have since sold their "Barchetta" and are now driving a roofless BMW.
